While there have been some local gains made, there is still work to do in reducing the rates of middle-aged smokers in the Palliser Health Region.

Statistics collected for the release of the Community Foundation’s Vital Signs Report 2008 shows nearly 50 per cent of people between the ages of 40 and 49 in the region are smokers.
