It would appear that some city councillors
want the decision-making process for the selection of the Regional
Event Centre site to be decided behind closed doors. It is high
time that the public heard all the facts and had a voice in a
decision that will shape the city for years to come. Reliance on
limited knowledge, opinion, misinformation and/or special interest
based recommendations result in poor decision making.
We have been reading with some interest
and some shame the discussion and finger-pointing going on with
respect to the $8 million dollars owed to the City by a SemGroup
affiliate for natural gas sold but not yet paid for.
