Let public hear all facts in Event Centre site selection Print E-mail

It would appear that some city councillors want the decision-making process for the selection of the Regional Event Centre site to be decided behind closed doors. It is high time that the public heard all the facts and had a voice in a decision that will shape the city for years to come. Reliance on limited knowledge, opinion, misinformation and/or special interest based recommendations result in poor decision making.

There have been two instances in the past year when the City’s Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Labas, has given ratepayers the same disturbing speech.

Many angles to consider when regarding city funds Print E-mail

We have been reading with some interest and some shame the discussion and finger-pointing going on with respect to the $8 million dollars owed to the City by a SemGroup affiliate for natural gas sold but not yet paid for.
