The running track is done and upgrades to
the city’s recreation facilities are being completed as
Medicine Hat readies itself for the thousands of young athletes who
are expected to descend on the area for the Alberta Games.
Medicine Hat is hosting 40 Japanese
students this month as part of the city’s high schools’
exchange program with Yamate Gakuin School in Yokohama, Japan.
Four of Medicine Hat’s most popular
drinking establishments joined together Saturday night and raised
just under $20,000 for the city’s Breast Cancer Society
during the second annual Bar Wars competition.
Seven Persons welcomed back dozens of its
native sons and daughters to the town Sunday afternoon as the Seven
Persons Community Church celebrated both its 50th anniversary and
new place of worship.
