CTV Canadian Idol hopeful Amberly Thiessen
broke into the top ten on Wednesday night.
The 19-year-old from Seven Persons
performed You and I Both by Jason Mraz on Monday night, Everything
I Own by Bread last week and What Am I To You by Norah Jones, the
week beforehand.
Despite having an off-night on Monday,
Canada liked Thiessen enough to vote her through.
Joining Thiessen in the top ten will be:

Mark Day, Portugal Cove-St. Philips, Nfld.
Mitch MacDonald, Port Hood, N.S.
Mookie Morris, Toronto
Sebastian Pigott, Toronto
Earl Stevenson, Lloydminster, Alta.
Katherine St-Laurent, Otterburn Park, Que.
Theo Tams, Lethbridge
Drew Wright, Collingwood, Ont.
Thiessen and the rest of the top ten will
perform Monday, July 14 on an expanded 90 minute show. Each will
perform a selection from the songbook of David Bowie.
The following night, in the firlst
elimination show for the top ten, the contestant received the
fewest number of votes will be revealed. |
