It was a close call, but Seven
Persons’ Amberly Thiessen will be back next week on Canadian
Idol.
Based on viewers’ votes, Thiessen
was ranked in the bottom three on last night’s results show.
It came as a surprise to the judges, who had called her performance
of Bob Marley’s Redemption Song the previous evening
“phenomenal.”
However, it was Quebec’s Katherine
St-Laurent who was voted off last night. Thiessen and the remaining
Top 8 finalists will now be working with former Bush frontman Gavin
Rossdale to develop acoustic performances for next week’s
“Unplugged” episode.
The remaining finalists will also work
with accomplished artists, including Bryan Adams, rockers Simple
Plan and the legendary Tom Jones. |
