I am very upset with my experience with a certain cafe here in the city. I’m not the type of person who usually gets upset about these things. However I was appalled at the way the situation was dealt with and the lack of professionalism and care for their customers. I was sitting down for supper with my husband and my in-laws at a cafe that sort of has that 50's feel like your back in the Nifty Fifties. Anyhow we waited for our meal for 30 minutes which was not a huge deal because we were visiting and we realized that they were busy. Anyways when our meals arrived my husband had ordered a burger and my in-laws a burger as well. Me not wanting a burger ordered my favourite item off their menu the Monte Cristco (Delicious) However this time when I bit into it their was a rotten chicken back between my teeth. Instantly I spit it out and examined the horrible taste i had just experienced.  I almost threw up. Upon looking at it I noticed it was either a chicken or turkey spine attached to fatty grisol which I had put in my mouth and bit down on. not to mention it was rotten!!! disgusted i had my meal sent back. When the bill came we noticed that we had been charged the full amount of that meal. When we asked our waitress she mentioned that they would take 2.00 dollars off. Not happy that we were charged for a meal that was absolutely disgusting that no one in their right mind would eat we asked to speak to the manager as we did not feel we should have to pay for this meal. We were mentioning that we were leaving. the manager had us wait another 30 mins until we mentioned that we would pay for the other meals and gave the waitress the money and were about to leave. Suddenly the manager came out of the back. Swearing at us asked us what the **** was the matter with our burgers. We explained nothing was wrong with them but we felt we shouldn't have been charged for the Monte cristco I had ordered. We explained that if this had been another place they would have apologized and given us the meal for free. The manager again swore at us asking us if we were ****ing retarded for assuming our meal would be free. We should not assume things will be free. Speechless at the way this was handled and how she talked to us. We paid the bill with Credit card for the full amount and agreed we would tell everyone we knew about our experience and how we were treated. I was so offended at how I was talked to. Please consider it before eating their is all i ask. People deserve to be treated with respect. Especially if they are paying customers who you want to come back or give the cafe a good recommendation.

upset
Definitely know several people who won't eat there, not only for the courtesy but the rotten chicken thought makes me sick. Should have taken it home and get health inspector to check it out. Some businesses deserve to lose their customers and this one sure will.
