at 12:50 on August 18, 2008, EDT. TORONTO - Police are allowing more people to return home after a massive explosion rocked a northwestern Toronto neighbourhood last Sunday.
Two more addresses on Murray Road have been opened after being cordoned off for more than a week while officials investigated and cleaned up asbestos. Residents of 57 Murray Rd. and 63 Murray Rd. are being asked to report to a police staging area before going back to their homes. Meanwhile, hundreds of residents are considering joining class-action lawsuits being launched against Sunrise Propane, the city and the province. Many are concerned that the propane blast will cause a decrease in the value of their homes. The series of explosions at Sunrise Propane shortly before 4 a.m. on Aug. 10 forced thousands of people to evacuate the neighbourhood and destroyed several homes.
