Egypt exploded with joy, tears, and relief after pro-democracy protesters brought down President Hosni Mubarak with a momentous march on his palaces and state TV. Mubarak, who until the end seemed unable to grasp the depth of resentment over his three decades of authoritarian rule, finally resigned Friday and handed power to the military.

Environment Canada has issued a winter storm warning for the Medicine Hat, Bow Island and Suffield area with heavy snow and blowing snow expected tonight and throughout Saturday.

Icy roads west of Hat

Unconfirmed reports are indicating a major accident has closed traffic on Highway 3 between Seven Persons and Bow Island.
Bow Island RCMP weren’t available for comment but issued a press release saying travel is not recommended due to poor driving and road conditions due to blowing snow and slippery roads.
