The hamlet of Rosebud is 'abuzz' with the much anticipated arrival of "Anne of Green Gables" — Rosebud Theatre's summer musical production that runs from May 25 to Aug. 25 at the Rosebud Opera House. Artistic director Morris Ertman says there is something synchronistic about Rosebud Theatre including "Anne of Green Gables" in its 2012 season.

In answer to an often asked question, "How can I find a book club?" the library established a library book club in September 2010. For the past two years a group of 10 to 15 avid readers have met on the second Wednesday of the month from September to May to chew over the chosen book.

The trio hit the music scene in 2009 and has played various venues and events around southern Alberta. The band is getting ready to release their second album, "Desensitize" on June 2 at Whiskey Creek in Medicine Hat and will be taking the stage at Spectrum, this summer's Festival of Sunshine.

You can smell the anticipation from garage doors near and far as T-tops and trailer hitches ready themselves for a summer on the never-ending blacktop. Some of the finest highways available are on our door step, something I think we can all appreciate even more so if you've ever survived the bump and bonk fest car ride anywhere east of our provincial boundary.
